American singer, rapper and record producer, Kanye West has come out to say that he will contest for the forthcoming 2020 US presidential election.
The rapper who turned 43 last month took to Twitter on Saturday to express his desire to run for the 2020 US presidential election. He stated that US citizens must understand America’s promise by trusting God.

The 2020 US presidential election has always been on Kanye West’s mind far back as 2015 when he confessed his desire to run for president in 2020 at the MTV VMAs.
However, in 2019, he made a speech concerning his interest in the US presidential election at the Fast Company Innovation Festival where he stated that he was going to run for president in 2024.
In his words, the richest American rapper according to Forbes started his speech with the statement “when I run for president in 2024”. This statement brought about humour to a lot of attendees at the exhibition but now the 2019 speech is about to come into reality, only earlier than expected.
